Situated in the heart of the city centre on Edinburgh’s funkiest street. Edinburgh Backpackers hostel is a 3 star Tourist Board approved hostel located just 200 yards from Waverley Rail station.

The hostel is ideal for groups or individual travelers. We can sleep up to 150 persons in Group Sized Dorms and Small Private Rooms. In keeping with our 3 Star status the hostel has fantastic facilities such as free WIFI, Guest Kitchen and games room. Try out our Stainless Steel Kitchen areas, cool lounge, Games Room, and our Southern Cross cafe and Bar.

Edinburgh Backpackers was one of Edinburgh’s very first hostels. Over the years we have enjoyed great success in meeting the needs of modern day travellers. We are very experienced in dealing with large groups.

Our friendly knowledgeable staff are experts on Edinburgh. They will be happy to assist you on where to go in Edinburgh or what to see and do.

Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel has a prime location between Princes Street and The Royal Mile. Our Guests just love to explore Edinburgh. Waverley Station and Princes Street are just 400 yards away.

During the day. Experience the world-renowned Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Cathedral and Princes Street. All just a very short stroll from the hostel. Then when the sun goes down all the main pubs and restaurants are right there for your enjoyment.

Set in a 19th century building in the heart of the World Heritage Listed Old Town. Our hostel is located just 50 metres from the Royal Mile. This is the ancient thoroughfare and main pulse of our cosmopolitan city.

Waverley Train station, new Tram Route and the airport shuttle bus are all less than two minutes away. Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel is easy to find, but very difficult to leave.

City Centre Hostel Kingsview Room Layouts

In our main building, we have bright, clean, spacious dorm rooms and a few private rooms with picturesque views over Cockburn Street and the Edinburgh skyline. We also have a large number of additional private rooms housed in two separate buildings located next door. Extremely popular with small groups and couples these rooms tend to book out pretty fast so be sure to book well in advance to avoid disappointment. With 150 beds, and accommodation ranging from dorm rooms, quads, triples, twins and doubles, we’re confident we’ll have something that will more than suit your requirements and exceed your expectations.

GROUP 8+ SECURITY DEPOSIT

Groups of more than 8 persons are required to pay a refundable security deposit of £20 per person on arrival. The deposit will be refunded on departure provided there has been no damages or behavior problems

At Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel we can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 120 persons. Sorry but we do not accepts Stag or hen Parties. We regularly welcome large summer groups of all types and sizes to Edinburgh Scotland. Language, student, sports groups and famailes are all welcome. We do accept student groups with persons under the age of 16. Please note that our private rooms are not located beside the Dormitories. Our sister Hostel Belford might be a better choice where supervision is required.
