Code was designed and completely purpose built from the ground up to offer guests the very best facilities possible. Our sophisticated ‘pods’ (we’ve gone beyond traditional bunk beds here) and en suite shower rooms are designed with maximum comfort and privacy in mind, whilst our kitchen, communal areas and roof terrace are intelligently laid out to ensure those who stay here can relax and unwind, and, if they choose to do so, meet and mingle with interesting new people, as part of their hostel experience.

Expect a very cool new experience. Code Hostel is fun, cool and relaxing. The well equipped pods provide a different experience than from traditional hostels. Very suitable for discerning groups who can book a private Rooms/pods or individual travelers.
Code hostel is very innovative and modern. Traditional original building materials were used to bring out the elegance of our historical listed building. The code concept was to provide the best possible accommodation, atmosphere and experience for discerning guests.

Code Hostel has a prime location on Rose Street which has numerous unique shops, bars and restaurants. Princes Street is just a minutes walk away. This is the heart of the city centre. Guests at code hostel just love to explore the city from this fantastic location.
During the day. Go shopping or experience the world-renowned Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile and Edinburgh;s historic old town is just minutes away. All just a very short stroll from the hostel. Then when the sun goes down you are surrounded by an incredible choice of pubs, clubs and restaurants.
Waverley Train station is just 5 minutes walk or a short Tram Ride away.

Located on Rose Street North Lane in the very heart of Edinburgh city centre just a stones throw away from Princes Street this is an ultimate location to explore the city.
Rose Street is Edinburgh’s coolest back street with numerous unique shops, great bars and wonderful cafes and restuaurants to check out. Code is walking distance to the rail and bus stations and all major tourist attractions..
Whether you want to cross the road to Princes Street Gardens and enjoy the magnificent views of Edinburgh Castle or go shopping at Harvey Nicols everything is right on your doorstep. Code is just a minutes walk away from all the best shops, bars and restaurants in Edinburgh’s great New Town.

When you book, you will receive a welcome email explaining how you can check yourself in. Your code to enter the building will be activated once you pay your remaining balance.

At Code Hostel we can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 28 persons. Please note that we do not accept persons under the age of 18. We regularly welcome groups of all types and sizes to Edinburgh Scotland. Please note that we only have 4 or 6 Bedroom pods and an en suite Double Room.
