Backpackers can enjoy a taste of 18th century Edinburgh at the Edinburgh Euro Lodge Hostel.

Set in a 'magnificent' 150 year old Georgian building Euro Lodge GB is the only historic Grade A listed building in Scotland that is used for tourist accommodation. The entrance and hallway feature magnificent hand crafted wooden architecture and a stunning fireplace. The spiral carved stairway leads to the second floor which boasts an outstanding domed roof which is admired by everyone

Formerly a hospital during both world wars and latterly a school of music. This 'grand' 6 storey building is just packed with character. Suitable for individual travellers or groups large or small the lodge has a variety of rooms which include singles, doubles, twins, triples, family rooms and dormitory style rooms.

Located in the trendy West End area of the city centre close to Haymarket rail station and numerous trendy bars and restuarants nearby this is a great location to explore Edinburgh's vibrant city centre. Murrayfield Stadium, Princes Street, the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and all major tourist attractions are within easy walking distance.
