The Tour

What better way to spend your weekend than a fantastic tour up to Loch Ness and the Highlands?

This tour will leave our HQ on Saturday morning. After taking in historic Stirling, dramatic Glencoe and the Great Glen's lochs, we spend our night within walking distance of Loch Ness before returning through the dominating Cairngorms and picturesque Perthshire to Edinburgh on Sunday evening.

The Kitty includes:

•Entrance to a whisky distillery and a wee dram to taste the 'water of life'!
•A night in Loch Ness Backpackers within walking distance to Loch Ness and near lively local bars.
•Dinner and breakfast at the hostel.

Day 1- Leaving Edinburgh we make our way to Stirling to hear the tales surrounding William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. Following the lochs and glens to Glencoe, Ben Nevis and the Great Glen with walks to enjoy breathtaking scenery and plenty of stops to soak up the Highland atmosphere followed by a wee bit of Nessie spotting! Tonight we spend in the pretty town of Lewiston within walking distance to the banks of Loch Ness. There's a BBQ for those sunny evenings and local pubs with local beers within 5 mins from the hostel!

Day 2 - This morning we begin with a visit to the tragic Culloden Battlefield to hear of Bonnie Prince Charlie's last stand before making our way to Clava Cairns (ancient burial site with superb standing stones with over 4000 years of history!). After lunch, we'll wind our way through the Cairngorm National Park with a last stop for a short walk through the Hermitage in Perthshire to see waterfalls.

Tour itineraries and accommodation can vary due to acts of God etc, but we normally stick to this. Kitty includes accommodation, evening meals and breakfast plus entrance to Urquhart Castle and a Loch Ness boat trip.
